JENIGER was a powerful and outstandiing heavy live act hailing from Hamburg, with people still remain active in ZEROID, BUTCH MEYER and DIGGER BARNS...

"This has been one of my favorites all winter. The only problem that i have had is that i always think there is a big dustball on my turntable needel mid-way thru this record and i came to realize it was something in the recording. HOWEVER, even that doesn´t get in the way how fuckin awesome this record is.These guys are from Germany and they play heavy brooding kind of krusty punk hardcore.Power packed and heavy with a galloping and pummeling style. Weaving with layered guitars and raspy vocals.The lyrics are printed on the back cover sleeve.Kinda touch of HHiG or From ashes rise, without sounding too much like either.Jeniger have the dark heavy throbbing sound down and they also rock hard with a driving energy. I fuckin love it! - ***** (Slug & Lettuce)"

ReplyDeleteI've got the original Lp, but no longer have a turntable... I've searched this Lp in the net several times and found some Jeniger 7 inches that I didn't know they had published... but hadn't found the Lp until today. In fact, it was one of my few vinyl pieces for which I hadn't managed to find the mp3 counterpart.
This is one of my all times favorite Dark Crust records, the music absolutely matches the dark, depressive, desolate lyrics...
